With over 20 years of experience as an award winning, licensed, Master Barber in the Chicagoland area, Charles Shumate is the founder and proprietor of The Hair Historian, Who’s Your Barber and Phat Fades Barbershop. Charles offers a wide range of services while maintaining a diverse, multi-cultural clientele, attacking all hair types and textures with excellence and precision.

Charles is fortunate enough to have worked with renowned artists in the hair industry as well as highly influential clients. He frequently travels and hosts seminars, expos and trade shows and is currently working on projects to further educate new artists on trending styles, products and business ownership.
